All three products are neuromodulators derived from botulinum toxin type A. Each has unique molecular characteristics that affect onset speed, spread, and duration. Dr. Sabeti will recommend the option best suited to your treatment area and desired outcome.
Dysport®
Known for its lighter molecular structure and slightly faster onset onset (2–3 days) with broader spread—great for larger areas like the forehead. Results can last up to 5 months.
Botox®
The original neurotoxin, FDA approved in 2002. Ideal for precise treatment of forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines. Results in 5–7 days, lasting 3–4 months.
Jeuveau®
A newer “Newtox”, FDA
approved in 2019 and designed specifically for aesthetic use, with similar results to Botox and a slightly quicker onset for some patients.

Dysport uses a different unit measurement than Botox or Jeuveau, therefore we often use slightly more units—but the overall cost is usually lower than the other 2 products offered. During your consultation, we’ll review your treatment plan and pricing in detail.

Is a consultation required?
Yes. Either Dr. Sabeti or Katie (Registered Nurse) will personally evaluate your facial anatomy and recommends the right product and units before any treatment begins. No surprises, no pressure. Consultation and treatment can be done same day.

Is there a difference between Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau?
Yes, though all three are botulinum toxin type A products that achieve the same goal. They differ in molecular weight, onset time, spread, and duration. Dysport tends to spread more broadly and act faster; Jeuveau is formulated exclusively for cosmetic use; Botox is the most widely studied with the longest track record. Dr. Sabeti will help you choose the best option.
Does the injection hurt?
Most patients describe the sensation as a brief, mild pinch. Ultra-fine needles are used and the procedure takes only minutes. Topical numbing cream is available if you prefer additional comfort.

To avoid bruising, please avoid blood thinners (Fish oil, Vitamin E, Aspirin and medications that include Ibuprofen (ex: Alleve, Motrin) for a minimum of 5 days. Also avoid alcoholic beverages at least 48 hours prior to your treatment
After Your Treatment (Post-Care)

Stay upright for a minimum of 3 hours

Do not touch, rub, or massage treated areas

Skip facials, massages, or lasers for 1–2 weeks

How soon can I return to work after treatment?
Immediately. There is no downtime. Most patients come in during a lunch break and return to work right after. Please see above recommendations for pre/post care.

What to Expect Before, During & After Treatment
Before your appointment
To minimize the risk of bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) and alcohol for at least 48 hours prior to your session. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup. During your consultation, Dr. Sabeti will review your medical history, discuss treatment goals, and determine the ideal product and dosage for your anatomy.
During your session
Most tox appointments take just 10–20 minutes. Dr. Sabeti uses ultra-fine needles and precise injection techniques to administer the neurotoxin with minimal discomfort. No anesthesia is required, though a topical numbing cream can be applied on request. You will be awake, comfortable, and able to return to your day immediately.
After Your Treatment
Mild redness, slight swelling, or minor bruising at the injection sites is normal and typically resolves within a few hours. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area and skip strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. Results begin to appear within 3–7 days and reach full effect at 2 weeks. A follow-up appointment can be scheduled to assess results and perform any minor adjustments.
