Preparation & Eye Protection
On treatment day, arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Protective eyewear is provided to shield your eyes from the light energy throughout the session. A cool gel may be applied to the treatment area for comfort. Most patients do not require topical numbing — BBL is well-tolerated and typically described as feeling like a warm snap against the skin.

BBL Treatment
The Sciton BBL handpiece is passed across the treatment area, delivering precise pulses of broad-spectrum light energy. The treatment is quick — a full-face session typically takes 30–45 minutes. Immediately after, you may notice redness and warmth in the treated area, similar to mild sun exposure. Pigmented spots may appear slightly darker — this is expected and means the treatment is working.

Over the next 7–14 days, treated pigmented spots will temporarily darken — often described as looking like coffee grounds on the skin.
